BERLIN – September. 19, 2024 – YAGER Development GmbH, the Berlin-based game studio behind the beloved extraction shooter “The Cycle: Frontier,” is excited to announce a special tribute project for its dedicated fanbase. In an innovative move, YAGER has leveraged Epic Games’ Unreal Editor for Fortnite (UEFN) to create “The Cycle: Prospect Island,” a Fortnite Island that captures the essence of the original game.
A Nostalgic Return to Prospect Station
“The Cycle: Prospect Island” invites players to revisit familiar elements from “The Cycle: Frontier” within the Fortnite ecosystem. Prospectors can once again roam Prospect Station, interact with faction leaders, and drop onto a hazardous planet surface teeming with opportunities and dangers.
“While YAGER is currently focused on various co-development ventures and new projects, we wanted to pay homage to ‘The Cycle: Frontier’ and keep its spirit alive,” said a YAGER spokesperson. “This Fortnite Island is a way of honoring the game that many players, and all of us at YAGER, cherished deeply.”
Familiar Gameplay in a New Setting
The island features many beloved elements from the original game, including:
- Contracts from familiar factions: Korolev, Osiris, and ICA
- Encounters with Striders and Leaflings
- The looming threat of “The Cycle” storm
- Tense extraction gameplay

To experience “The Cycle: Prospect Island,” Fortnite players can use the island code 8495-9375-7199. The experience is accessible through the Fortnite client, available on the Epic Games Store.

YAGER emphasizes that while this project is a heartfelt tribute, it’s not intended as a full replacement for “The Cycle: Frontier.” The company acknowledges the complexity of game development and publishing, addressing fan requests for the original game’s return.
