On Wednesday, April 24th, 2025, we had the pleasure of welcoming a group of aspiring game developers from School 4 Games Berlin to our YAGER studio!
Founded in 2011, the School 4 Games is a state-recognized vocational school in Berlin. Young, soon-to-be developers, producers, and more are learning the trade from the ground up with a special practical focus.
The visit kicked off with an inspiring introduction by our Managing Director, Timo Ullmann, who shared the story of YAGER’s journey — from our early days to becoming the gaming studio we are today. Timo offered the students a firsthand look at the challenges, milestones, and key learnings that have shaped our studio over the years.
After the welcome session, the students had the chance to dive deeper into the everyday life of different professions within game development. Members from our Design, QA, Production, and Animation departments hosted a series of 30-minute talks, each providing valuable insights into their respective fields. Ending with a deep dive into what to pay attention to when applying and being interviewed by our Talent Acquisition Manager Frederico Machado.
The sessions gave the students a closer look at the creative processes, technical skills, and collaboration required to bring games to life. From crafting compelling gameplay experiences to ensuring quality at every stage, planning production timelines, and breathing life into characters through animation — the students got an authentic glimpse into what working at a game development studio is truly like.
It was an energizing day filled with questions, discussions, and shared passion for games. We loved seeing the excitement and curiosity from the next generation of developers, and we hope the visit provided some helpful inspiration for their future careers.
